Hi Everyone,
I am a beginner soap and lotion maker. I only do it for fun but I am a full time student who happens to be in a Business Law class. I have to write a paper about a topic of law that I enjoy. I figured hey why not do it about about soap making and selling laws!! I have read some posts through searching, about laws of ingredients on packaging. I was wondering if any of you could tell me where you actually learned these laws??? I did a search on the internet but couldn't really find anything. I understand that soap is not governed by the FDA if you don't make any claims about it doing certain things. But how do you guys know this!!?? Also what about lotion, is that considered a cosmetic?

Any advice is welcome!

Yes it is cosmetic. Any thing you apply to skin is cosmetic.
