I've only done it once. It was a remelt. I didn't add any new lye water or oils. The soap was too soft to grate, it was the day after it riced. So I cut it in small pieces, covered it with coconut milk, heated it sloooowly to 150 degrees and poured it into a large, long Pyrex glass brownie pan which I'd lined with freezer paper. Too much liquid. I used the whole can of coconut milk. Next time I'll cut it in half if the batch size is the same. It took 4 days to dry out enough to cut, but it doesn't look half bad and the scent was saved, which is what I wanted. I did not want to lose
that scent. I wouldn't send it to anyone but I'll certainly use it. It's really creamy. Yes, I've already tried some.
My DH thought the process was interesting, although he thought the soap was never gonna freakin' dry. Now he's convinced that it does. Maybe I can talk him into doing it next time.
Doing it this way took all of about 30 minutes (excluding drying time) so yeah, I'd do it again.
