Loaf mold or slab mold?

What do you prefer? Why?

For those that have tried both...what are the pros and cons of each, if any?

Just looking for opinions. Thanks!!

Slab is easier to swirl and easier to keep from gelling. Log is great for layers or basic batches.

Hi, I like my slab mold, it's handmade and holds 14 lbs. of soap, but I normally only make a 7 pound batch. I have an antique tool chest box I line and use as the loaf mold. Both work fine, but I prefer the slab mold for the size bars I like to wrap or stack up.
