I just made my first batch Saturday and used a Pyrex cake/bread "pan" for my mold. Sprayed it with and olive oil based Pam-type cooking spray, then poured the soap in at full trace. Let it gel wrapped in big towel. Took the towel off about 18 hours later. Stuck it in the freezer at 28 hours and pulled it out at about 32 hours. Soap came right out and I cut it with a metal drywall scraper, into bars that are curing as I type. Maybe I was lucky, or maybe I've yet to encounter the downsides to my method, but everything worked well and went smoothly. Clean up was a breeze with the Pyrex and the soap looks great. After getting a negative on the zap test, I washed my hands, the mold, and the cutter with the residue from the cutting and it cleans pretty well too. Could lather better, but I'm hoping that the lathering will improve with the curing.
