I have a standard recipe I do that is pretty popular. It is my tamarind coconut milk hp soap. I usually use lard but have purchased my first 50lb block of beef tallow. So I figured I'd get a lil adventurous, since I did not have any liquid coconut milk only coconut powder, I figured I'd try one oz per pound of oils, banana puree. I plan to stick blend it into my oils before I add the lye...don't really wanna know what lye water does to a banana :lol:

I used tallow in my last batch, and I love it. It produces a harder soap than lard, and a little more lather.
I'm curious as to what the banana is gonna do...

so far 4 oz of banana in a 4 lb batch of hp smells wonderful like baking banana bread, it traced super creamy...it's in its last 5 min of cook

update-It has the most rich maple scent...I don't know how long the scent might last but it's strong. I added a berry custom blend fo, but the maple sweet banana smell is overpowering it.

The scent will fade over time, but the lather on banana soap is quite nice. If it hasn't turned tan yet, you should expect it. :wink:
