I haven't used a beveler yet. I was wondering when to use it. Do you use it immediately upon cutting your bars or do you let them cure a bit first?

It's easier if the bars are harder. So it depends on your recipe.

I've tried a fully cured soap once and it still got beveled. You should be fine if you wait a while.

I second that! I have found that if I wait a couple of weeks, it's much easier. And if I don't gel, it's almost a necessity!

Once once, when I made a test batch with low numbers on SoapCalc's hardness scale, I waited to bevel once it was fully cured and that turned out great too!

Thanks for the advice zeo. I think I'll wait a few weeks to try this beveler out.

I leave my bars on the drying rack till I need to label them. When I label them is when I bevel them. Only time I change this is if I am getting ready for a big show then sometimes I willl bevel ahead of time so it is one less thing to do later.
