partial gel?

Is it possible to get a partial gel after putting your soap in the refrig for 6 hours, then taking it out and setting on the counter? I used the full amount of water recommended, is this possibly just a little darker in the middle because the water hasn't evaporated from the soap yet? It's just 1 1/2 days from pouring. :cry:

Thanks for asking this, Spotted! I had the same exact thing happen to me yesterday as well. Refrigerated for 8 hours, cut this morning and still got that darned partial gel ring...ugh! Back to the soapy drawing board

Next time try pre-chilling your mold first and soap as cool as you can.

Thank you soapbuddy, I hadn't thought about tossing the mold in the refrig or freezer while I make the soap.
