Hello everyone! I am new to soap making and I was wondering how do you figure out how large of a batch a recipe will make so I can determine which size mold to use. I have a few recipes that tell me but I cannot figure how they got that figure. I have a few recipes that don't tell me how large the batch will be and I don't want to start pouring only to realize that my mold is too big or too small.

48 oz (total oil weight) fits perfectly in my 3 lbs mold :mrgreen:

Also if you get a mold and you want to know how many oz. it will hold by weight you just do L x W x H x 0.4 = weight volume. But that's if you're using a square mold, I'm not sure how to figure out weight volume for a round mold. Hope that helps!
