Teach Soap

So I made some goat milk soap and it was a 8# batch I poured into 4 2# plastic tray molds. I stuck 2 in the freezer and 2 in the fridge trying to prevent gel......especially partial gel. I pulled them out a day later and thought I was successful (no ring and still a light color) as they warmed and thawed they began to sweat yellow liquid some (a lye sweat I believe). Well I had to work and couldn't unmold them for another 24 hrs and when I flipped them over to unmold them they have blotches of yellow. Not chunks or anything just like little mini pools of lye sweat that was soaked up (some wasn't and remained as lye sweat. Over all not that much lye sweat but enough to give an uneven color. Will this go away. Is that what it is? Should I do anything. Why did it do that?

Here is my recipe

16oz coconut oil
32 oz hydrogenated vegetable oil
4 oz shae butter
17 oz olive oil
16 oz canola oil
48 oz goat milk
11.8 oz lye

I blended it to a very VERY light trace and added peach and honey FO. Would this happen because I didn't blend it to a thicker trace?

This should be a 4+ (cuz fat in goat milk) superfat so there shouldn't be excess lye.

Did you check for zap? Sometimes the liquid gets absorbed back in. I would wait a day or two, then go back and check it. If it still zaps after 48 hours, your best bet is to rebatch, but that won't keep the light color. If it was me, I would have mixed to a medium trace.

Was the peach and honey FO soap safe?

I did the tongue test and it doesn't seem to be lye. So I am thinking maybe it gelled only a little in spots??? Does that happen? I have only see full gels or getting the ring of get but not partial thickness or blotchy gels. I put half in the fridge and half in the freezer for about 24 hrs and they both look the same. I am thinking maybe it should be in the fridge or freezer for 2 days? Any advice? As time has gone by the color distortion seem to be fading but still definitely remains.

It could be the goat's milk then. Leave it out for a couple of days and see what happnes.

What do you mean it could be the goats milk? Why would that make it discolor in splotches? And why does leaving it out for awhile help? This is all very interesting to me.
