Hi everyone,

I'd like to know if it's better to have a lye discount eg. 5-7% or to add
the superfatting oil at the trace? I mean is there a difference in the result if
you do the lye discount in calc or add the fat at the trace?

and in adding the additive oil at the trace should the mixture be mixed
with the blender or by hand after adding the superfatting oil?

As Soapbuddy always says, the lye is still active for up to 48 hours after and it is going to take what it wants. You might as well add all of your oils up front.
