Hi all - If I use Titanium Dioxide to make my soap white, can I then split the batch and re-dye over the top of the Titanium Dioxide? Thanks.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. I would think it would make the color a little more pastel than if there was no td in it. But I am no expert.

You can add color to the soap that has TD, but it will not take the color as well and it will be much lighter.

I've never used it but I would say split the batch first then add it. No point in wasting the Titanium Dioxide if you are planning on coloring over it.

I'm still not brave enough to do multi colors!

Thanks Jola. My objective in using the Titanium Dioxide was to get rid of the greenish color that the natural hemp oil makes and then redying it.

Oh. Does that work? It takes away from the color that naturally happened from the oil combination? Then by all means, give it a whirl.

:D I have no idea if it works or not Jola, I'll let you know. I'm still experimenting here.
