I've made six batches of cp so far & the soap comes out thick and comes out the mold in the bar shape, but how come its not soft or oily? it's hard when I cut it. Olive oil is my primary ingredient, then I add 5oz coconut oil, and 2 Tb of castor oil. Id like some nice soft oily soap.

Um, I don't know what to say...is it too hard to cut? Like, is it like a brick? If you have a recipe that hardens quickly, maybe you can try cutting it sooner...it will be softer, but I dunno about "oily"!

Properly made CP soap should neither be soft nor oily. What are you trying to make?

If the soap is shiny it could be Melt N' Pour or the CP soap was rubbed with alcohol.
