The bars are making my whole room smell GREAT, but I think they need to be placed somewhere safer. I'd like to hear of people's soap curing areas. I was just planning on putting these on the top shelf of my closet. Should they be covered with anything? My house does gets a tad bit dusty when we leave our windows open.

I've seen people use the IKEA storage units and that seems to work well. I have about 600 soaps at any one time, so I use professional baker's racks with wheels.
If your house gets a little dusty, I would cover them with tissue paper. That way the soap can still breathe, but it's protected from dust.

Soapbuddy- should the soaps be wrapped with tissue paper or just lay a piece of tissue paper on top of the soaps?

I have mine in cardboard trays all over my warm bacement to cure then put them in cardboard boxes to store by individual scent . They stack nice that way. I only keep about 300 soaps at a time . So it's not alot .

What about the "scraps"?

I do have quite a bit of shavings and small chunks from when I cut my bars. I was planning on putting them in a small shoe-box.
