I don't know where you live, but I would try BrambleBerry fragrance oils. Using 0.8 oz of FO per lb. of soap sounds too much. I have seen (from another vendor) that was using DPG to dilute their oils and it made soaps seize.

I use minimum water to dissolve the lye in, let it cool off, than I add the milk. Less chance of the milk's fat reacting with the lye, less chance of ending up with pudding before you even start and less chance of the milk scorching.

thank you soapbuddy, I have bought a lot of FOs from branbleberry too and i like them a lot. I wasn't saying the name of this other place earlier because I wasnt sure if I was supposed to say the names on here, but I think its okay. I have been buying some of my FOs from southern soapers and that is where this blooming tulips one was from. All of their FOs smell great, but blooming tulips is only the second one of theirs I have actually tried in soap. I had tried one of theirs previously and it worked wonderfully so I just bought like 7 different FO's from them, one of them being this Tulip one. I hope I didnt make a mistake. I was not very happy when the soap started to curdle. What would you do if you were in the soaping process and that happened? Do people have any luck stick blending it smooth, or is it pretty much always a sign for rebatching? I'm just trying to learn what I can from this.
Thank you.

Next time it curdles or seizes, HP it. Turn on the oven to 170, then put the pot (hopefully it's oven safe) in there and let it gel. Check on it in about 20 minutes and stir it really well. It should come together and cook in about 45 minutes. It will not be as smooth as CP, but you should be able to "glop" it into your mold. Bang the mold to get rid of any excess bubbles. Let it cool, then slice.
