Teach Soap

I have a batch all set to go but would like to include some boarx as am making it for a friend who has water so hard, it almost bounces when you spill a drop What I can't figure out is when to add it? Do I need to liquify it with a little water before I add it? I'm making a 3 lb batch of a recipe I have used often and plan to add 1 Tablespoon of the borax.

Borax is better for liquid soap. I would go with Tetrasodium EDTA instead. You can get that from Lotioncrafter. http://www.lotioncrafter.com/store/Tetr ... 16184.html

When I am making my laundry bar, I add it to the lye water.

I add Borax at trace to my laundry stain sticks. It also helps with the 'scrubbiness'
