Teach Soap

Hi,
Urgent question, need to figure this out before end of day. My first really important wholesale account. They ordered my wine soap which I don't have as much experience making, and the bars turned out slightly smaller. My labels say 4.5 oz but the initial bars after cutting are 4.75 so I know they will lose more weight over time. Making wine soap, apparently something gets lost in translation? What do I do if the bars end up less than 4.5? All my other bars they ordered will be more like 4.75 or 5oz. Should I tell the wholesaler now? And does anyone know why they came out smaller? Something to do with the technical process. No wholesaler wants two different prices if I were to lower the cost on just that one. If I decide to re-do the batch how do I resize to make the batch just slightly bigger/heavier? Why does wine make my bars weight less?

I would do the same price just different weight on the ingredients list. Some fragrances have a different molecular weight, so the cured soap will end up with a different weight. Did you simmer off the alcohol before using?

Yes I did boil the wine first. It's not a fragrance, it's essential oils. You don't think the retailer would balk about that? I can always just say what you just said I guess?
