Hi All,

Just wanted your take on the following recipe I formulated yesterday. This is the first time I tried formulating a recipe from scratch using http://www.soapmath.com/calc/

Distilled Water 16.720 oz
Lye NaOH 6.594 oz
Sesame Oil 5.28 oz 12%
Sunflower Oilc 6.6 oz 15%
Kokum Butter 2.2 oz 5%
Palm Oil 8.8 oz 20%
Coconut Oil 19.8 oz 45%
Rice Bran Oil 1.32 oz 3%

Was looking for a high conditioning soap. The soap is in insulation at the moment so no idea how it's gonna turn out yet. What do you think about this combination? Any suggestions you wanna make? This is also my first time with kokum butter & sesame oil in soap making.

Since you are in India, you can probably get a fresher sesame oil that I can. For me, sesame oil has a short shelf life and can give the soap DOS.
How much did you superfat? I superfat at 7-8%, as anything below that my skin finds drying.

The highest conditioning soap is pure Castile. It doesn't look great in soap calc, but makes for a very mild soap. It would need a long cure time like 6-8 months.
