Teach Soap

Hi there,
I've used Shea Butter in my soaps and would like to try some Cocoa butter next.
Can anyone tell me if I should order the regular or the deoderized.

Will the regular mix up my soap scents too much, or can't you really tell the difference. I was only using about 3% cocoa butter in my recipe.

The all natural definitely smells like cocoa. I use it in my Turkish Mocha bars. The deoderized has no scent at all--- I use that one in all of my other soaps. It never occured to me to try the non deoderized in a floral or fruit scent, I just assumed the cocoa smell would come through. Maybe not though, it will be interesting to see if anyone does.

Yeah, when I do fruity/floral scents I don't use my "regular" cocoa butter...it becomes a shea butter bar. Or, if I'm using a "clean" scent like Cool Water or Fresh Cotton....

I *would* use cocoa butter in a scent that is "warm" like with vanilla, honey almond, etc...but don't always.

I love Cocoa Butter in recipes that agree with the scent. If you don't think that it will mix well though, then I think you should get the deodorized.
It just depends on the recipe and fragrances that you want to use.
