Hi there! I am pretty new to soap making and I made my own recipe yesterday for the first time. 24 hours later it is still warm on the bottom of the cardboard box I used as a mold... Could it really still be saponifying?

My recipe is/was as follows:

12.8 oz canola oil
8 oz olive oil
3.2 oz cocoa butter
1.6 oz coffee butter
6.4 oz coconut oil (extra virgin)
4.3 oz lye
10.6 oz distilled water
2.25 tbsp kaolin clay
1.8 oz hazelnut toffee fragrance oil from Brambleberry

The soap batter was still very thin when I poured it into the mold... Since it was my first time trying to do some swirls, I only blended to a very light trace, but I was a little surprised that it didn't thicken at least a little by the time I was done working with it. The soap, at least on top, has hardened though, so I guess it's okay? I'm just surprised it is still warm.

Yes, it can still be saponifying. Some formulas or fragrances just take longer. I would leave it be for now. Be aware that a large amount of canola oil can shorten the shelf life of your soap and could be more prone to DOS.
