Teach Soap

Hi everyone. I am testing out the Avocado Moisturizing Bars recipe by Anne-Marie Faiola (from the "Soap Crafting" book), but I do not have some of the components locally so had to make a variation. However, how do we calculate the right amount of lye:water ratio for recipes that include purees?
They are not accounted for in the recipe? How can I calculate it if SoapCalc only includes oils measurements?

You would figure your full water amount and then use just enough of that to dissolve your lye. Example: If your recipe calls for 10 oz of water and 4.5 ounces of lye, you would dissolve the lye in 5 oz. of water. The remaining 5 oz of water weight can be 5 ounces of puree added at trace.
