Hi, I wondered about this: I was thinking about adding 1 oz of heavy cream to my soap recipe. The finished size will be 48 oz and I wondered, first, can I add this at trace without burning the cream? I was thinking to soap at about 130 degrees. Also I wondered should I discount the water by 1 oz if I do this or does that matter?

Thanks!

I would subtract the cream from your water portion. You can add it at trace, but 130 is too high. I would go with about 110 degrees. Cream (or any milk) has sugars which can caramelize in your soap.
