Hello,

I have been making a few batches of soap to try the swirling techniques at Soap Queen (thank you Ma'am for such informative videos etc...)

I have formulated my own recipes, keeping the solid-at-room-temp oils to no more than 40% and making the soap with the maximum water.

The results are so so.

Anyone care to share a great recipe that does not contain rice bran oil?

Many thanks for any responses!

The recipe I used in my early days was: 70% olive oil, 30% coconut oil. Drop your hard oils to 30% and be sure not to stick blend too much as that speeds up trace. Once your batter has started to thicken, you can stop using the stick blender and mix in color with spoons.
