I recently found a tea that smells wonderful in its dry state. Ingredients include orange peel, black tea, almond, cloves. My experience so far with substituting tea for water in making the lye solution is that the fragrance of the tea is lost.

I want to capture the fragrance of the dry tea in my soap. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Tea will not add scent to your soap. You need to supplement with either a fragrance or an essential oil at a safe %.
