Teach Soap

So, I'm kind of in love with hot process lately. I have a question.

Has anyone used beer in hot process for their lye water? Can this even be done? Or should it be saved for CP only?

The beer being properly flat and then boiled off first, of course.

You can sub beer up to 100% of your liquid whether CP or HP.

I love adding beer to HP. You can even add it after the cook if you want a little diffent feel. Just remember to boil the beer before putting it in the lye solution. It can make a big scary bubbly mess. Don't ask me how I know, oops! I made a soap recently with Guinness and bentonite clay scented with BB's tobacco bay leaf. It was wonderful! Guinness will color your soap a medium brown.
