I made this soap and it was lumpy when I was mixing it. I stopped in the middle of stirring it to trace and opened my essential oils...could this be the reason? Will it affect the outcome of my soap? I got the lump out of the middle and put it down the drain. I have had bad luck with the last two batches separating like that. I don't use a blender...I stir by hand. Is this the reason?

Can you post some more info on your soap? The recipe, temps, which EO, etc.... Thanks! =)

How big is your batch and at what temp did you combine your oils and lye? I would get yourself a stick blender.
