I have been :roll:

wondering this for a while now, how do you keep sugar and salts from melting in the soap? And what kind of sugar would you want to use, and how much salt per lb?

I use regular table sugar and salt and dissolve them in the water before I add the lye.

Is this for CP soap or for something else?
If you want more bubbles, you can use 1 tsp. of regular sugar in your lye water after it has cooled off. Make sure you stir very well.

Yes its CP, I guess I am talking about like putting sea salt or something like that, were you want it to not melt in the soap when you make it, I am not sure if I made thata even more confusing or not. Thank you for the sugar tip though

If you're looking to make a salt bar, you add as much salt as you have in oils. So if you have 16 ozs. of oils (not including lye water), then you add 16 ozs. of salt.
