Teach Soap

Hey everyone, been a while since I ran through these pages however I have had several requests for 'gardeners/kitchen' soap for odours. I was thinking about trying strong coffee instead of water and orange EO. Anyone try this sort of thing before? Anything crazy I should know about soaping with coffee? I have pumas I am planning to use instead of the coffee grounds! Thanks

I am also working on a salt soap recipe, cause I hear so many people loving it:) From what I read, I should start with at least 80% coconut oil, going to try a little shea/cocoa butter and castor to make up the rest. Supperfat at 15% and haven't decided on my EO's for this batch yet:)

Opinions on either would be great! Thanks

I've used coffee in place of my water and it works fine, although it does stink when you add the lye to it! I didn't add any scent to mine.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I make a gardener's soap with coffee that my aunt in particular LOVES. I mix my lye with water, then I put some coffee grounds in there. The coffee grounds give the bar a slight coffee scent, and add scrubbing. I also add tea tree and lavender EOs to mine.

Salt soap - use individual molds!
