Teach Soap

I am having a little problem getting my soap to gel and I prefer geling. My old oven used to heat up to 81 degrees with just the oven light but my new oven doesn't seem to get that warm with the light.
Maybe I should combine a little warmer. I usually shoot for 100-110 degrees. Covering my mold doesn't seem to be an option when I want the top to have peaks. My house is cool......63 degrees. I wonder it I placed a piece of board on my tile counter, them covered the mold with an inverted styrofoam ice chest. I have never tried a heating pad.

Thanks. That is what I will do.

You can also pre-warm your oven.

I heat my oven on its lowest setting and then turn it off and put the soap in. Works great.
