Teach Soap

I have to do away with my aloe plant because it is just to big. So I am going to make some aloe gel. Has anyone tried this in soap? How does it hold up? And would I mix it with lye or discount the water at all?

It will work fine. You can use it as part or all of your liquid.
I have even pureed the WHOLE LEAF and added that as half of my liquid. The green bits will eventually turn brown, but even then it doesn't look bad at all!

I use it in some of my soaps as a nice additive. I add it at trace and discount the lye water for the amount of aloe Im useing. I just use the gel inside the leaf , so it dosen't show little brown specks. Not that that's a bad thing.
