I want to do cake cupcakes. Can I make a bunch of cupcakes up, then do the icing the next day? Or should it all be done at once? with they adhere properly or do I need something to help with that?

Will be doing piped CP for the icing.

Assuming you mean soap cupcakes? LOL

I do mine ahead of time and ice them when I have time, sometimes a week or so later. I seal them in an air-tight bin to stop them from drying too much, as I figure having both "shrink" at the same time is beneficial.

yes, SOAP cupcakes. Ugh. I made them, then managed to get the icing done soon after. I plan on getting 2-3 dozen done up, then doing an icing fest.

I am in awe of how popular they are. My first batch were SOLD before they even came out of the molds! Lavender... purple base with white and purple swirl icing.
