Is it still 100% tallow? It used to say right on the container but no longer does.

Look all over the label carefully. By Law, they have to list the ingredients. It'll be on there somewhere... probably tiny print in an out of the way place

I checked it out and all it said was on the front. "Prepared from meat fats & vegetable oils with mono and diglycerides added; BHA, BHT added to protect flavor". So from that I'm guessing it's safe to say it's no longer 100% tallow.

Since you don't know the exact % of each oil, it would be hard to calculate the SAP value.

That's the problem. I used to use the GV shortening and it made a great soap. I couldn't stand the smell of soaping when I was pregnant and so I took a hiatus for about 8 months. Bought some GV shortening the other day and noticed when I went to scoop it out it was fluffier than normal. Soapcalc.net has the GV shortening listed but I'm wondering if that was from before they switched. I found the ingredients on walmart.com and this is what it said "Beef Tallow, Palm Oil, Vegetable Mono- And Diglycerides, BHA, Propyl Gallate And Citric Acid Added To Protect Flavor, Dimethylpolysiloxane, An Anti-Foaming Agent Added." Uughh...WHY can't they just keep a good thing the way it is. That being said...I made two batches of soap with it using soapcalc and they came out beautifully. I think I'll call myself lucky and just ask the butcher next time we take a cow in if I can get the tallow back.
