just went looking for baby soap and found two recipes on the SoapQueen Blog..,#1, Buttermilk Bastille Baby Bar, which calls for buttermilk...would it be possible to substitute goat milk for the buttermilk? #2, Quick and Easy Castile Soap, it calls for Neroli and Shea Fragrance oil...I would rather make this without the fragrance oil, will it effect the outcome if I omit the FO?, OR would lavender EO be a good substitute for the FO, IF I did go with a scent?, also, I don't have the 9 cube silicone mold, but have a rectangle silicone mold, I could use my 2 pd wood mold lined of course....your thoughts please...thank you in advance...

You can sub any milk for the buttermilk. On the second recipe, simply leave the fragrance out. If it's for a very young baby, I would leave it unscented. You can use a lined mold instead. that's fine.

Thank you Irene, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions...thank you again.
I have been off doing other things and finally got back to this forum, so thankful for this forum.
I have a lot of goat milk in the freezer and would really like to use it up, I did make another Olive Oil Castile recipe I found in a book I have. It is very simple, but am eager to try the goatmilk.
According to SoapQueen, the recipe strongly suggests not unmolding for two weeks. This recipe I just made didn't give any indication to that other than leave in mold for 2 days. I looked at it after 48 plus hours, it looks slightly firm, but clings to side of mold, so I think I will go with SoapQueens suggestion, just keep checking it daily to see how it goes...this is my trial run, am still learning....
Thank you again...
