I made 3 loaves of soap today. The first two came out great, the last one I have yet to see how it will do. I've made this recipe before, but for some reason it came to trace faster than usual. I hurried to get it into the mold and do the mica lines I had planned for it. As I spread my green sparkle mica (a new design I wanted to try), I started to notice that some parts of it were turning an ugly brownish red color. I was already on my second line so it was too late to try to remove it. As I was trying to figure out what to do, the rest of my soap became a hard mass. So I glopped the whole mess into the crockpot and I'll try to turn it green with my tried and true chromium oxide once it gels. Hope the little bit of mica that's in there won't affect it.
Darn, I was hoping to make some pretty green sparkle "veins" running through the soap.
