Teach Soap

I used to be diligent about soaping with distilled water, but lately I've been using tap water that's strained through a Brita filter and it all seems to be working out well. So that got me thinking: up north of here is a community whose water supply comes from glacial springs and its billed as "The Best Water on Earth." I know the mineral content is part of what makes that water so lovely to drink, but would it be problematic in soap, even if I filtered it?

Thoughts?

Dissolved minerals will come through a filter. The more minerals that are dissolved in the water, the more chance of DOS.
