Well, I have made my third batch of soap and I used EOs, I have a few questions, do you discount water for the Essential Oils, and do certain oils hat of soap more then others. I put the soap in a mold and covered with towels and it s few hours it has heated up lot, this is goats milk soap. I have also read that milk soap you don't want to cover at much because it heats up more then others? Anyways my other 2 batchs turned out great and I got a new hand blender, I think it might have to much power!

Yes, some EO's can cause problems, like clove. Goat milk soaps tend to heat up more due to the natural sugar in the milk.

I don't cover mine and sometimes I put them in the fridge or the freezer to prevent gel. It's still good soap in the end.

Is there a rule of thumb for that, soap buddy? Like "most spicy scents heat up soap" like the "if it contains vanilla, it will turn brown" rule? Like the "most citrus fades quickly" rule?
