this is what I did.

Mixed 4.25 oz apicot kernel
2.7 oz avodaco
1.5 castor
.5 beeswax
7 oz lard
1.91 lye (superfat 10%)
6 oz water
1 Tb Clay ( MMS lye calculater)

Then I remembered the coconut milk and added 2 Tbs of that.

Melted the oils, added the lye and stick blended off and on because it was so slow to trace.

I stick blended the bejeesus out of it toward the end and ended up with a muddy mess and now it's just cooking. It just separated again, so I stirred it up again. I just turned the crockpot off to keep the heat low. It's starting to separte again!

Is your coconut milk just that, or does it have any additives like guar gum?
I'm looking at your recipe and you have 26.65% of apricot kernel, that's a very soft oil. You say it's mixed. Mixed with what?

9.4% of castor is too much too. I would have gone 5% max.

Since this is such a small recipe, I would have gone with grams instead of ozs. You'll get better accuracy that way.

What temp did you soap at?
Did you dissolve the clay in a little bit of water first to hydrate it?
Did you add any fragrance? Was the fragrance soap safe?

I've had that happen when using coconut milk as well. Keep cooking it and stirring occassionally - it will come back together. I usually use the oven method @ 200 F. I have totally given up on coconut milk because this keeps happening to me in both HP & Rebatching - but I have finally learned that if I keep cooking and stirring it will take a while, but it does come back....

I stirred the clay in dry with the oils. The temp is not too hot, between 125 and 140 depending because I turn the heat on and off, so it won't get too hot. I haven't added fragrance in yet.

I just got back from a walk and it's been several hours. It looks and feels like chocolate pudding.

It's all together now, no oil slicks, but it's really soft. I'm going to add fragrance and pour into the mold and see what happens.
