I made a soap last night, and the recipe said to add Rice or Corn Starch
Why do they add this?
I forgot, is that a problem?
The soap was just Olive oil and Coconut oil - with Apricot Oil added after I cooked it

Could it have been to anchor a scent? I heard about using corn starch to do so but never rice.

Most likely to anchor the scent. Although it can add a very gentling exfoliation as well.
