Teach Soap

I made my third batch ever of soap last night. I am finding that I'm only a tiny bit (or a lot bit) addicted and obsessed with cp soap making. But my husband asked me what I was gonna do with all this soap. At some point I read that really I shouldn't be giving away my soap til I have been making it for about a year and that I needed liability insurance to sell and to even give it away because people are sue happy. So anybody having any thought or suggestions for this dilemma????

You can give it away sooner, but only to relatives or friends you know for feedback. If you are considering selling at some point, I would strongly recommend liability insurance.

My family has enough soap to last them for "300 years" LOL And until I start selling it they will continue to get more. You can be like me; with VERY clean family and friends!

Sometimes A Mistake is so much fun, You just have to do it again!

I started soaping last Aug. By Nov. I had made 20 batches of soap. My house was overflowing with soap. I gave everyone in my family and all my friends packages of soaps for Christmas. (I have a very large family) I just made my first batch of the new year.
It's a good thing there are lots of birthdays throughout the year. I love making soap but really don't want to start a business. You will know when you are ready to share your soap. By the time you have waited for your soap to cure and then used it for a month or so you will probably have made several batches and will know if it is time to share. Welcome to the wonderful world of soaping.

I am also new to soaping and I made two batches and took them to work for advice on scent texture and lather and i now am approached what are you making this week and can you make some for me i will pay you it is the best thing i have used. i want to learn how to decorate the top with art i used roses and lavender but i want to use glitter and three demensional work i just havent figured out the trace aspect yet. I would like to go to the convention when it is closer to florida. Does anyone decorate the tops of the soap not just plain. is there a class
