I am new to soap making and as I practice I don't want to make a 5lb batch every time. Most of the recipes I want to try is for a 5lb batch. I am not good at math and halving a recipe. Is there a program that will do this for me?

Welcome!
You can use this lye calc. After you input your regular recipe and click calculate, the next page at the bottom has a resizer. https://www.thesage.com/calcs/LyeCalc.html
