Hello everyone! I just read a very interesting post about using fruit and vegetable purees to color soaps, but I didn't see anything about hot process. I really love the idea, but I really want to do hot process (shorter curing time for impatient me and I actually like the more rustic look). Can you still do this and protect the soap from turning rancid too quickly? When do you introduce the puree?

In hot process I do it when the lye's still active.

That's what I thought, but I had wondered if putting it in with the oils would completely destroy it.

I freeze pumpkin and use it in place of water in a HP soap. Works great, makes the soap a nice orange color, slightly boosted by orange EO.
