 Post subject: fruit or veggie puree

If I were to use a puree of vegetable or fruit for a natural colorant, do I add to lye water and then to the oils. Would I count it as my water volume. Any tips???

Discount your water according to the weight of the puree. Make sure that your fruits or veggies are not chunks, as those can go moldy in soap. You can add the puree as soon as the oils and lye water are mixed, but before trace.

I stick blend my purees into my oils before I add my lye water, but I use them only in solid colour batches.
