Teach Soap

Hi

I wanted to know the process & ingredients reuqired to make Baby Soaps.
Shall I use Potassium Hydroxide OR Soduim Hydroxide for Baby Soaps.
It will be gret If you can share some recipies.

Potassium Hydroxide is used to make liquid soap and Sodium Hydroxide is used for solid soap so it depends on which you want to make.

The only soap I would use on a baby is 100% olive oil soap unscented and uncolored. It's just about the most gentle soap you can make.

Here is a lye calculator from BrambleBerry. Input your olive oil in there and superfat around 7%. http://www.brambleberry.com/pages/Lye-Calculator.aspx

I will add a little castor oil to that olive oil. The most important part is to not color or fragrance. I usually tell my moms that it is best to wait until baby is 6 months old and that this is not a 'no tears' formula, so be careful not to get in babies eyes.
