Hi

what type or classification of colors can I use to color my Cold Process soaps?
I recently got 1 pack Pigment color/dye and 1 pack of OIL soluble color/dye.
Can these type/class of colors be used in soap, as these soaps are to be used on body/skin. any possible harmful effect known of using these colors in soaps?
As a test batch of 1 pound each, I used them in 2 separate batched for individual color, i realized that these colors are to be used in very small quantity, as less as 1/2 to 1 gram for 1 pound batch.

You'll need to check with your supplier to be certain they are safe for use in soap and they should also be able to give you recommended usage amounts. Some pigments and other colorants can be used in soap and cosmetics and others can only be used in one or the other.
