Can someone tell me what really different about shaving cp? Also, does anyone know how to make soap that can be piped?

Shaving soap is usually tailored to have a thick creamy lather rather than a puffy bubbly lather. And clay is generally added to give better "glide" for the razor blade, helps with friction (or razor) burn. You can play with recipes in lye calculators that display properties to see how the lather -should- be. :mrgreen:

As far as piping soap, you can pipe any recipe of CP! Just let it get to a super ultra heavy trace (a frosting like consistency), then put it in a piping bag and away you go :mrgreen:

Thanks. So is the castor oil higher in shave soap? My bars are creamy and I keep the castor low, thought too high would make is gooey:)

I've heard that stearic acid is pretty much a must in a great wet shave bar.

Staeric acid and castor both will make for super thick creamy lather. But both also cause super acceleration hehe. So if you want both, be prepared to move like the proverbial bat out of um.. the underworld? :mrgreen:
