Hi - I've made several dark brown soaps which I have just started to use. The lather is white but it does discolour the water. What do you all think about? Is this unacceptable? My colourants are cocoa powder and a dark malt grain. I have made one mid brown coloured batch using coffee in the lye and there wasn't a problem with this. Or do you think I am just using too much colour?

It could be too much color.
I've made Pink Sugar (type) soap and it discolored dark brown and stained the washcloth. My customers weren't too happy about that.

There's no way around brown water with cocoa powder...

I dunno...does chocolate/cocoa stain?
