Teach Soap

So I've tried making about four different batches of soap in the past few weeks, and every single one of them has traced and set incredibly fast; much much more quickly than usual. The only variable, as far as I can tell, is that it's summer here, and the humidity has set in with a vengeance. Does humidity generally cause a problem with CP soap reaching trace more quickly? Tonight's soap was mixed by hand for about 30 seconds and stick blended for about 10 seconds. It was already at thin-medium trace by that point, and was almost totally set by the time I was finished glopping it into a loaf mold (I had originally planned to try out BB sphere mold, but it wasn't thin enough to pour. Temp of oil was 114, temp of lye water was about 130.

I've never heard of humidity affecting trace. The primary factor is mechanical mixing, second warmer temperatures, third fragrance, fourth recipe. Are these scented batches? Other than it being warmer in the summer, I'd look at what you used for fragrances.

For next time, I would lower the temp of your lye to about 110.
