Teach Soap

I have a ton of mint growing in my back yard & was hoping I could add it to my soap. Oil infusion maybe? Or are oil infusions mainly for color rather than scent?

The mint needs to be dry before you infuse it, so you don't get mold. Some herbal infusions are used for color, but you won't get much color from mint. The scent is very light too. You could make mint tea and use it as part of your lye water, but that will turn the soap anywhere from tan to brown.

You can add dried & crushed mint leaves to the soap at trace which gives it a brown speckled look. People either love the look or hate it.

I infused some oil & made tea so maybe I can double up? Or triple by adding crushed mint?

& Robert, I love the way that soap looks. Do the leaves feel scratchy at all?

They add a little bit of texture, but I don't remember that bar as being exfoliating per se.
