Ok...so I have done my share of dumb things, but I must admit that this one tops it. I finally tried my hand at the Mantra Swirl and in all my excite I forgot to line my mold!!!

So now I am trying to figure out how I am going to get this soap off this mold, and my poor mold...Is it ruined? I am going to need to wash it down :cry:

That's pretty! The only thing that I can think of is a narrow metal scraper to use between the side of the mold and the soap to help release it, but I'm not sure how to release the bottom. Maybe freeze it?

I think I would allow it to gel then freeze it and try what Irena said. You may get lucky and get the majority of it out. Then a good washing, some scrapping and an air dry and you may be able to salvage it. Good luck! And yes, it does look pretty!

Roxana, that's gorgeous! I love the colors too. I agree to try freezing it then letting it stand 30 minutes before trying to get it out. A thin, flexible knife has helped me before. :oops:

Thanks for the help! In the end I ended up taking a thin carving knife and separating the soap from the side of the mold. I still had some stick but was able to salvage a couple of bars :)
I sure learned my lesson!
