Teach Soap

I sent out a few bars to my testers. One of my tester stated to me that a few of the bars burned her private area. None of my testers had any problems with their sensitive areas. I zap test all the soaps before I sent them out.

Anyone know the reason for it? I'm baffled by it.

She could have sensitivity to the fragrance or essential oil used.

funny, she didn't have this type of reaction the first batch of soaps. I used the same essential oils then.

Lots of things, including some medications, can cause sensitivities to develop.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

sometimes repeated exposure causes a sensitivity to develop, but if that were the case it would usually bother someone everywhere, not just the privates. More than likely it is the type of eo and /or the amount you used. Make sure you check the IFRA recommended amount for the category of the product you are making (so soap would be a 9) and to not use over that amount. Of course it is possible that she was just a little more....shall we say, thorough this washing, so the soap was in contact with more sensitive skin than it was last time. I would check the percentages of the eo's you used and if those are in line I would then mark it up to an issue with the tester.
