I am thinking of doing an ITP swirl. I usually do HP when I make soap, so not sure where to start for a CP recipe that will be slow to trace yet still be a great bar after the cure. What are some oils that would combine to create that? Right now on my shelves, I have Coconut 76, Olive Pomace, Sunflower, Soybean, crisco w/ palm, sw. almond, avocado, sunflower, sesame and shea butter. Wow! now that I wrote all that, i need to cut back on some of them!

with what you have there are several combos.
Coconut Oil (76 deg) 28%, Castor Oil 7%, Avocado Oil 12%, Olive Oil 48%, and Shea Butter 5%, which would give you

Suggested Range this Recipe
Hardness 29 - 54 35
Cleansing 12 - 22 19
Conditioning 44 - 69 60
Bubbly 14 - 46 25
Creamy 16 - 48 23
Iodine 41 - 70 63
INS 136 - 165 147

You can go onto soapcal.net and play with the percentages and/or ingredients to get a different recipe if you want. For complicated swirls I usually do a
high olive, rice bran oil, coconut, castor and sunflower OR apricot oil. It works well and is similar in ranges to this recipe.

Thanks for the recommendations and insight. Here's what I came up with. 40% Olive, 28% Coconut, 20% Sunflower, 7% Castor and 5% Shea Butter.

I felt BRAVE  and added Cucumber Cantaloupe FO from NG (after reading the review on how it behaved in CP)

Went with Turmeric and Alfalfa Powders for colors. Hopefully, this will work with the FO.... Did an IPT with those two colors and then a Swirl in a Swirl with the remaining batch. I watched a video from Missouri River Soap and thought I'd try it.

Not too bad. It started thickening up nicely right before pouring.

It has been put to bed for the next 12-24 hours. I will post pics when cut.
